Impromptu experiment using our brand new high tech “pressure cooker” to sterilize sweet potatoes.
After washing the sweet potatoes and covering them with aluminium foil, they were sterilized at 121℃ for 20 minutes. They were cooked just right but since they lost their sweet taste they needed a little NaCl.
I overheard a conversation between some students…
A: Why are you eating sweet potatoes?
B: Apparently there’s a machine to steam potatoes at our lab.
